The Privacy Office is responsible for management oversight of the Army-wide implementation of the Privacy Act (PA) and Quality of Information (QIP) programs in accordance with 5 U.S.C. Sect. 552a, and Public Law 106-554. The Office implements the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Department of Justice (DOJ) and Department of Defense (DoD) guidance regarding the PA and ensures the requirements of Executive Order (EO) 13392 (Improving Agency Disclosure of Information) and the Action Plan are fulfilled. This office is also responsible for allowing individuals to access and amend Privacy records, when appropriate, coordination and publishing of PA System of Records Notices, as well as handling receipt and reporting of personally identifiable information (PII) incidents. In addition, the PA Office reviews agency forms and regulations for PA compliance.
