New Breach Reporting Process
Army has developed and is making available a new breach reporting tool: the Privacy Act Tracking System (PATS). This web-based tool will allow organizations to enter and track breaches online. PATS will help to simplify and improve data collection Army-wide when reporting breaches of personally identifiable information.
Starting 4 September 2015, PATs will be available on the Records Management and Declassification Agency website for Army-wide use. As of this date, we recommend that all Activities begin using PATS to submit breaches to the Army Privacy Office. Effective 1 October 2015, all Army breach reporting will be required to be conducted through PATS. Should you have any questions or comments concerning PATs, please send them to usarmy.belvoir.hqda-oaa-aha.mbx.rmda-foia-privacy-alert@mail.mil.
