The Army Civil Liberties Program Mission

The Department of the Army will protect the civil liberties of its personnel, both civilian and military, and the public to the greatest extent possible, consistent with its operational requirements.

The Senior Component Official for Privacy provides management oversight of the Army-wide implementation of the Army Civil Liberties Program in accordance with Public Law 110-53 and DODI 5400.11.
